As a photographer, it is important to show respect and humility. I consider my voice, not just my camera, as my primary tool. Engaging in conversations with the people I encounter is essential. To truly connect with individuals, effective communication is key. Above all, it's about being a fellow human being.

John T. Pedersen (born 1966) is a freelance photojournalist situated in Norway, specializing in humanitarian photography. Over the years, I have contributed to various newspapers, trade publications, magazines, and agencies. Affiliated with the national newspaper Dagbladet in Oslo.
In 2019 I received a World Press Photo Award with the photo Boxing in Katanga.
